Simply Business — Launching health insurance for small businesses

Simply Business is one of the UK's largest business insurance providers. As the lead designer working within a product discovery unit, I successfully launched a new healthcare insurance product, while sending numerous other ideas to the graveyard in the process.

Wondr Medical — Designing a new way for physicians to communicate

Wondr Medical’s mission is to connect medical professionals, allowing them to communicate faster, better and more effectively at every level. As the lead UX designer at Wondr, I led various research and design projects, crucial for our growth and product evolution.

Cherryz — Transitioning from eCommerce to app commerce

Cherryz aimed to make buying household essentials more fun. As the lead UX product designer, I guided the integration of shoppable content and personalised features into the app environment, making the shopping experience more interactive and fun.

 Experience

  • Leading UX product design efforts in the retail team, whilst providing leadership across the design team.

  • Led numerous research and design initiatives. One of the projects, Wondr Rooms, became a strategic focus for the business and resulted in a multi-million VC-backed seed investment.

  • Part of a product discovery unit, leading user and customer experience decisions to identify and launch new insurance products.

  • Worked with the exec team and product owner to ideate, test, and design future-facing products and tools focused on scaling and automation.

  • Making online shopping fun and affordable! Alongside designing the Cherryz native applications, I was responsible for overseeing and qualifying user experience decisions across the web.

  • Led UX research and design during the innovation and ideation phase of a commercial project focused on ‘rethinking scientific research discovery and sharing’.

  • Delivering UX solutions and conducting numerous qualitative/quantitive research initiatives.

    Emblzn is an online marketplace for customizable products, often called "Nike iD for anything." It started with one brand and expanded to 50 in under a year.

    Emblzn won the InnovateUK Innovation of Fashion competition, leading to partnerships with the London College of Fashion and the Centre for Fashion Enterprise. Additionally, the company was invited to China by the UK consulate for a business mission and presented to Chinese businesses.

    I was part of the founding team, designing and developing a digital product for enterprise and commercial use. We pitched at trade events in China, Berlin, and London, using feedback to refine our digital product. Emblzn has successfully processed over £20,000 worth of customized products worldwide.
